Meet Dr. Christensen

As a Marital and Family Therapist, licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Dr. Christensen has over 10 years of experience serving the needs of clients of all ages, diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns. Dr. Christensen believes the catalyst for change in therapy lies in a warm, empathetic, and trusting relationship between client and therapist. Her success stems from her passion for helping others become the best version of themselves.

 

Dr. Christensen earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, followed by a master’s degree in psychology with a specialization in marital and family therapy, and a doctorate in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Irvine, California.

 

Providing therapy for individual adults, adolescents, couples, and families has been the focus of Dr. Christensen's career. She has worked in many settings including private practice, inpatient mental health, and school districts. Additionally, Dr. Christensen served as the State Clinical Director at an inpatient rehabilitation facility. She is a certified member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
